Default EQ III Bug?

Hello, I don’t know if anyone has reported this, but there is a definite problem with EQIII when you try to disable all inserts on selected tracks.

Hold "Cmnd, Opt, Cntrl, Shift" and click on an insert. All inserts in that row of selected tracks will become disabled. When you then enable the same inserts using the same modifier keys, EQIII sounds like it has high pass and low pass filters on. Sure enough, if you click on the plug and open it, you will see a mid curve and no highs or lows just for an instant. Then the saved eq curve will pop back and the sound will be back to normal.

This freaked me out the first time I was hearing the results on my mix. I only stumbled across the action that made it occur. I have a good friend who was able to duplicate the problem.

I hope this helps,

Chas
