Default PT Slow Launch and hangup on Peripherals...

PT8.1.1
HD2
x1 192 IO
x3 192Digital
Apogee Big Ben
Mac 2 x 2.8gHz quad-core xeon
18GBRAM
OSX10.6.7
Waves Diamond v8

Everything was working perfectly until I opened a session from an associate who had a SYNC IO and PRO CONTROL. Since then, launching my templates and sessions stall out on 'Loading Peripherals' and hangs for several minutes (5 plus minutes), then finishes. Then once I select my base template, the loading of my tracks stalls out toward the end of the load, then finishes after a couple of minutes (5 plus minutes).

I've upgraded to OSX10.6.7 (combo update installer)
I've re-installed PT updater 8.1.1 (several times)
I've trashed prefs, dae, etc...
I've trashed midi config and re-installed MOTU midi driver
I've tried launching with the ethernet cable de-tached

Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.

If your associate's session was created earlier than v8.1 and has a complicated bussing/output structure I would recommend downgrading to PT 8.0.5 to see if that works. Assuming you have 8.0.5, of course....

I disconnected the USB (to MTP AV) & ethernet.
I then re-installed 10.6.7 (combo updater)
I then re-installed 8.1.1 (updater)
I then re-installed MOTU MIDI SETUP
Trashed all prefs, databases, dae folder, etc.... (using utility tool)
Fixed HD 'repair permissions'

Restarted from a HD Clone
Inspected & repaired main HD
Fixed main HD 'repair permissions'

Restarted from main HD
Launch PT
And all is great !

Today I'll test reconnecting the USB and ethernet
