Amplitube 3.5 Custom Shop now open

Amplitube is upgraded to a new setup.

Anyone can download a basic version of Amplitube 3 for FREE, that comes with a small selection of gear, and then purchase additional gear a la carte, from stomps to amps to cabs, including some new officially endorsed models.

This new version of Amplitube 3 will be the main host for all your existing and future models (like X-Gear used to be).

You purchase credits and can use them to buy gear.

You can also demo the gear before you buy it. They're trying to make it like a real store.

The new amp models sound very good from the clips they've provided leading up to this.

definitely a download you should get, if you dont already own AT, the new models sound really good IMO.

They've done a nice job on the presentation and the way the custom shop works. The demos for each model are great idea and it's really easy to try stuff out.

I like the idea of the 2 mics plus room mics for each cab too.

It looks pretty, but I wasn't impressed with any of the amp models I tried (except maybe the Orange 120, but still not great).

Compared to 11 Rack I think the models are very, very weak. It's made me think though that the 11 rack team should maybe try doing an Orange model.

Can you ever get enough tone options?

I downloaded it. Slick. Very slick. I thought with some tweaking some of the models sound very well in fact - very well all tone snobs. :)
