Default Timeline/cursor start point?

When I use TDM Protools systems, if I click anywhere on the arrange page the cursor jumps there and the song starts from that point until changed.
But on my M-powered setup this doesn't happen, you have to click on the timeline to move the marker and then the song will start from that point.
Is there a preference or a keystroke that will allow me to work the TDM way?

I am sorry if this is a stupid queston!

Setup --> Preferences --> Operation --> Check "Timeline Insertion/Play Start Marker follows Playback"

...or, link Edit and Timeline selection. Sounds like it could be un-linked now.
