Kev:
Thanks for the pics - looks great. Mixed Avid's changes with mine & macsearchers changes from the 2020.12 file to get to this point. As I may have mentioned before Avid split out some of the color changes from just one line to two lines and the two lines are not together in the file. Makes life interesting trying to make the changes

Humm so I did the first screen shots on my iMac 27 and as I said when I downsized the photos (in Imgur ) they got blurry BUT right now on my 13 Macbook Air. I just did it again and resized them to " Huge Thumbnail) to be able to see them on the 13 inch screen and now they don't seem as blurry ??? Anyway thanks a bunch ,Kev

I've had that same issue with imgur so it's not you.

Hey Musicman. I'd love to see where you're at with this.
I went back in and updated a few things but as you mentioned, AVID has made it a bit harder to modify.
I've thought about the idea of building a script for this but it looks like AVID will keep breaking it so it may be a fruitless project.

See my Post # 480 (last post previous page), it is two screen shots of Musicman's current 2021.3 file

Drop me an email if you want the file. It's a combo of what Avid did along with some things you and I did. I may not get back to you real quick as I have to go to the dentist today

Musicman I don't know if I have mentioned it previously . BUT for me one of best features of your file is the Red "inactive" insert I/O state . Because I use a hardware Mastering compressor as an insert , on my 2 Bus. And I generally do not track with it and have it inactive on my session templates . It is so nice to have it so easy to instantly identify it being inactive ,,, three thumbs on that one

Here is a shot from a template of mine with the 3U inactive on my 2 Mix Aux,, Before Carbon I also did not track with my M7 hardware reverb on either but now I do track with it

That's the reason I made 'inactive' state so obvious - so you could tell at a glance the state of something that's not enabled. It's a good eye catching alert color. Why Avid didn't do this on the new dark mode file I'll never understand.

There is a PT color file editor in the Microsoft Store. It’s not fancy, but does allow you to filter on a keyword, which makes finding specific lines easier. Windows only of course.

Just search for PT Color Theme Editor

The thing is knowing what lines do what. In the previous dark mode files (at least on a Mac) only one line in the file affected a screen element. In the current file sometimes two lines are needed to make the same change that one line would do before. It's not simple - believe me.
