Default Programable keyboards???

hey, I was wondering if USB computer keyboards are programable... I know that there are those stickers that are for all the short cuts... And i plan to get them... But on my keyboard i have a play, stop, rewind and fast forward... Is it possible to program it so that just those functions will work in protools? or is that just a long shot? Thanks..

Jonny
