how to get PT send start command at any position
i have an good old yamaha rx11 drumcomputer atached to my mbox2. everything is set (audio-midi-konfig, recieve chanel and so on) and working fine. i can send midi from rx11 to PT and the other way round.
also, when i hit play in PT the rx11 starts playing, too. problem is, that PT only sends a start command at position 0:00:00.. hitting play at any other position it sends a !continue! command which causes the rx11 simply to continue the beat where i hit stop (in PT) before. that's totally crap when i want to tune in at any point of my track to try some extra tunes on other instruments while the beat is totally offbeat. i hope you know what i mean.. so how can i setup PT to always send a start command? greets yRRe |

Re: how to get PT send start command at any positi
I'm not very familiar with the RX11 but I know it has various modes for receiving external midi. It's possible that the RX11 is not correctly interpreting the midi data. I say that because I've been using MMC/MTC via PT to control and sync an external software sequencer all along and have never had a similar problem. I took a quick look through the manual and the menus and I can't actually find any way to tell PT not to transmit the song position pointers.
