Default Mark a Thread "Solved"?

Hello.

Is there a way to mark a thread "solved" so others who are scrolling can identify that an answer has been provided to a question?

Do you have the ability to change the Title of your thread? I don't know if that is just a Mod function...

For me it is - Thread tools, Edit thread.

It lets me change the title within the thread but the original message title remains displayed on the main message board.

Was hoping to have it displayed so others looking through threads would see the solved message and perhaps shorten their search.

Not that it helps, but I can verify what Sparky1 describes. Nothing I do will make the main title show the change(even went to the "advanced" option)
