MIDI and Instrument Tracks won't play back

I have two instrument tracks that were working normally. I played on note on my AKAI controller and the level spiked. Now, neither instrument track will play back, nor will the keyboard work for those channels. It still works for other channels in the same session.

I can still see all the midi information in the tracks not working. Any thoughts?

I have similar things happen in the past. What I did was simply reboot PT and turn my keyboard off and back on. That always worked to clear out any MIDI glitches. If the problem persists after doing that, then you'll need to isolate it...but I'm guessing you won't need to.

I tried this a few times and still not working. Everything is visible, just nothing playing back.

Yeah, I agree with Flommer. A couple of times I've had to do exactly that...just create a new session. Another possibility, just create new instrument track, re-copy the midi data, reinstatiate your VI, and try that.

Just a thought, but where is your audio output from the instruments going? Did you route them to an buss, for example?

I've included a snapshot of the tracks not working. As of now, each track has it's own instance of Xpand on it. I'll try the other idea of copy/paste to a new instrument track..

You have to use photobucket or similar to post screenshots..

Did you try in a new session? Sometimes MIDI gets corrupted and there is noting you can do.

If the problem still happens in a new session then there are other things that could be the issue..
