Control of Midi CC

Avid say the S3 offers control over every aspect of Pro Tools.

I need to control midi CC for expression, midi volume and other things that can be assigned to CC numbers.

It will control pan at the press of a button, but I can't find a way to control midi data.

When you are programming VSL instruments, for example, this is extremely necessary.

Any help would be much appreciated.

where do they say that?

I'm afraid you can't do that with the S3. The only way would be to use a Mackie Control aware application that would generate the cc data you want.
But the Mackie Control implementation of the S3 is very poor and not worth trying out...
The easiest way is to get a cheap Behringer BFC2000 that works with cc data very well.
Or if you are on an iPad and like fiddeling arround you get TouchOSC by hexler.net

You can control CC with the Artist Mix within Cubase via Quick Control.

On the S3, Cubase's QC are spilled to the top encoders and as far as i know they cannot be flipped to faders, so you're stuck inputting CC via encoders instead of faders.

As stated, Cubase is the only app i know that will let you use an Eucon controller for CC.
