Default LE with M-Audio

Quick question and thanks......

Will Pro Tools 8 LE run on a MAC with an M-Audio USB device?

Second simple question. Are files created in PT8 LE completely exchangeable with files in PT8 Mpowered. I have an M powered system and my partner is planning to purchase PT8 LE and we want to be able to exchange files.

Thanks
Again

You can exchange files but LE will not work with an M-Audio interface.

Thanks Philip,

The problem that we are up against is I have PT8 and he has PT7. We can exchange files but none of the plugins will move with the file exchange. My colleague plans to upgrade to PT8 as a result. May I assume that if we are both running PT8 and his is LE while mine is Mpowered, they will load up onto the second machine just like they left the original and back again or does he have to stay with Mpowered to allow us to collaborate without issues?

Yes, having the same numerical version of PT, AND, the same versions of plugins would make collaboration better. With the release of PT9, you could likely buy MP8 for a song, so maybe matching both systems would be a good idea?
