Default using old AIR plugins in PT9

hi,

ive recently upgraded to PT9 .. however have some files with the old air plugins on tracks. I have tried inserting disk for PT8, but cannot access any option to install just the AIR plugins without reverting to PT8.

Any ideas how this can be done?

Do they have advantages over the current ones? Hopefully, they at least have different names from the current ones. Otherwise, you might not be able to have both installed at once. Just drag them from the plug-ins folder in the last backup you made of your system disk while 8 was installed, and drop them in your current plug-ins folder.

If the new ones have the same names, be sure to remove them first. Put them in the "Unused Plug-ins" folder. Then put the old ones in their places.

Not everyone thinks like a chronic Pro Tooler.

Did these plugins really change between 8 & 9?

they are just not included as a plugin pack in pT9 .. they are all missing when i open old session files in PT9.. which is quite an inconvenience tbh.

I am not sure I have a backup of my system disk... this is something i should really start doing.

That's odd. They haven't been dropped. Did you run the full installer before updating to the current version? Did you make sure to put a check mark in all the items you wanted installed?
