Assertion line 123 error when trying to import session data/consolidate tracks
Hi guys. Just finished my dialogue session and am getting ready to deliver it and would like to consolidate tracks with 3 second handles rather than copy everything. One of my PFX tracks will consolidate, but none of the others will. I get that same assertion error when trying to import/consolidate any of the other tracks.
Things I've tried: -I've gone through the troubleshooting guide and done everything on there. -Deleted all databases using the helper. -Exported my IO setup from the one session and imported it into the new one -Repaired permissions -Removed all peripherals from my machine, especially on the firewire bus. My system: -Mid 2010 Mac Pro with 6GB RAM -OSX 10.7.4 -PT 10.0.0 -My PT drive is an internal set of two 1TB drives in a RAID mirror (journaled) Highly annoying and any insights would be very much appreciated. Thanks guys! |

Re: Assertion line 123 error when trying to import session data/consolidate tracks
Are you getting the error when trying to consolidate regions within the session? or when trying to import/consolidate VIA session data import?
The helper app has a few caveats, I haven't used it in a while but you might have to manually delete some of your database files. I have had a session corrupt, and nothing can fix it. Try importing the tracks into a new session as is, then consolidate from there. Or export tracks as a new session. kasper |

Re: Assertion line 123 error when trying to import session data/consolidate tracks
I got something similar when I got an AAF that had CAF (Core Audio File, from FCP) files in it

Re: Assertion line 123 error when trying to import session data/consolidate tracks
I'm only getting the error when trying to consolidate through the import session window. I have no problems using the Option-Shift-3 shortcut for consolidating within the session. I use it all the time in dialogue editing.
Craig, this session isn't from an AAF/OMF. It's from a conform done using Titan. Don't know if that makes a diff for you. Thanks for the responses. |

I was more implying that if you may have mixed file types you may have a problem
