MBox Pro 3 not being seen by MBox Pro Control Panel
I've been banging my head against the wall for hours on this.
MBox Pro 10.6.8 9.0.5 I've installed the Mbox_Pro_Drivers_v1_08_68827. When I open Pro Tools, it recognizes that there is an MBox Pro attached. When I select it, no sound. I can see it in my I/O and everything looks correct. When I open the MBox Pro Control Panel, I get the following message immediately: "Hardware Configuration Error. The hardware device for this Control Panel has never been attached to this machine. This Control Panel must be relaunched after the device has been connected for the first time. The Control Panel will now exit." After hitting OK, it closes down. I've reinstalled this software and followed all of the directions to the letter about 15 times now & nothing is working. The MBox Pro Control Panel cannot recognize that there is an MBox Pro attached. Any ideas? |

Re: MBox Pro 3 not being seen by MBox Pro Control Panel
I have the exact problem even after installing the latest drivers Mbox_Pro_1_0_16_Mac_76949, i've had the mbox for 2 days now and still nothing working, it has a solid blue light coming from the power LED indicating that it is powered - i assume- and it does get recognized by my mac in the sound devices area, but no sound comes out when i selected it as an output, and the Control Panel keeps shutting down and not recognizing the the Mbox Pro 3 at all, and gives the
"Hardware Configuration Error. The hardware device for this Control Panel has never been attached to this machine. Re: MBox Pro 3 not being seen by MBox Pro Control Panel
I just helped a client who had the same issue. Bought the mbox but never used it because other projects took off. Went to fire it up and was getting the same issues.
2006 Mac Pro 2x3GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon with PT9 and mbox pro 3 bought in 2011. I had him go on to the admin account and: 1.unistall drivers by launching the driver and selecting uninstall (1.0.16) 2.download the most recent one (1.2.0) 3.unplug all external FW devices (just have keyboard and mouse in) 4.install new driver (causes restart) 5.repair MAC HD disk permissions in disk utility 6.restart again 7.Wait until its all booted up and THEN plug it in. 8.Launch Mbox application |
