Video Engine Failed to Initialize
My video engine is failing to initialize. I have looked at anwerbase and found this problem but i can't resolve it. I have made sure there is no other firewire cabling and trashed databases but still no joy. I have my Mojo logo on my monitor so that end is fine. I'm a bit lost on this one?????? I'm sure it's something simple.

Re: Video Engine Failed to Initialize
Yes, you need to connect the Mojo directly to a firewire port on the computer.

Re: Video Engine Failed to Initialize
I get this problem almost every day. Apparently it's a problem with the Mojo. I do have it connected directly to my G5 with no other peripherials connected to any of the firewire ports on the Mac.
To solve it I just quit Pro Tools, power cycle the Mojo (turn off and back on again) and restart Pro Tools. I know it's a pain in the ass, but it works. If anyone has a better solution I would love to know. |
