Default Yamaha 01x and protools

Hi

Has anyone had any experience with hooking up an 01x to control protools?

As an experiment, I tried to emulate a CS-10 controller by mapping the 01x midi data to CC's on Channel 16 for protools to understand, via midi-ox.

This worked to an extent. Moving the fader on 01x moves fader on protools, but not smoothly. Protools seems to be outputting sysex data everytime i move a fader, presumably for display feedback etc.

I know that the 01x doesn't yet support HUI protocol, does anyone know of a HUI emulator?

Has anyone tried using midi-ox in this way?

I'm using M-box and LE 6.9, btw.
