RME ADI8 AE compare with ADI8 Pro

The AE does use a different, and lessor converter.
It's the converter from an older production run of one of their sound cards.

The AE version is actually closer to the DS version rather than the 8Pro.

You'll see that the A/D uses a slightly lesser converter (but still 96k). The rest of the unit is apparently the same as the DS.

Looks a bargain if that's the neck of the woods (price-wise) you're in.
