Eucon, Artist Control and mouse.
Hi. Just registered today.
Bought an Avid Artist Control and it arrived this morning. Took hours of messing for it to recognise Logic X on my iMac. Now it finally has done, I am finding that using the artist control is just so slow and unresponsive. I have however found that moving my mouse seems to clear the bottle neck, freeing up the artist control to be used again. After it is used again (pressing 'soft keys' on the screen), same thing. Bottleneck and the mouse needs to be moved for the artist control to update and respond iMac is 27-inch, Late 2012 Processor 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB Software OS X 10.9 (13A603) Hard disks are USB3 4TB Mybook Studio for time machine backup Thunderbolt 6TB Mybook Duo mirror raid using apple disk utility. Bluetooth mouse and keyboard Logic X latest version. I know I am using Mavericks but it’s a new iMac (bought just before the product refresh) and it came with it. Anyway, interesting that the mouse seems to be causing a bottle neck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Eucon, Artist Control and mouse.
I'm still seeming to have this problem with the control surface not responding unless i move my mouse. I'm running Eucon 3.1.2 that was suppose to fix the app nap. I'm using a wireless mouse and keyboard but i'm thinking that shouldn't cause this problem. Any ideas?!
Thanks! |

Re: Eucon, Artist Control and mouse.
i tried rebooting, reconnecting eucon through system prefs, and it seemed to be working ok and was responsive for about a minute then it just got bogged down again and goes back to only responding when i move my mouse... very frustrating.
i've also noticed that, typically, if i close all my editing apps and wait a few minutes. the control surface starts responding very well as it just controls whatever window is open; like Finder or Safari, etc. |

Re: Eucon, Artist Control and mouse.
Yes same problem here. Well you wouldn't imagine that a wireless mouse and the Artist and MC Control would be a rare combination
How come so many bugs in DAWS are not sorted out and corrected? |

Re: Eucon, Artist Control and mouse.
Hi all - I am also having this problem since a Mavericks update with eucontrol 3.1.2, and it seems many others. Has anyone found a solution? Here is a thread with others with the same problem:
