Default Separate clip/region with a group of drum tracks has a 2-3 second latency.

When I group together like 15 drum tracks i'm having a 2-3 second latency every time I try and separate the regions or clip with command+E on a mac. If If i try this with a single track it separates immediately with no latency. It only seems to be when I have a group of tracks that it lags.

Any idea how to fix this? I'm losing my mind trying to edit drums with this latency each time I try and make a cut.

Hard to say with zero specs on your computer. If your buffer is set low(like 64 or 128), bump it to 1024(use low buffer for tracking, use high buffer for editing and mixing).

Remember, when you do this, you doing it to 15 audio tracks, which must create 30 NEW audio clips(regions).

I ended up deleting unused clips and regions and that fixed the problem.
