HELP Mix|24 v6.4.1 just stopped working

I haven't used it for a couple of weeks, and now it just hangs when it gets to loading plugins...

I've got cs4, up to date ilok drivers, nothing new installed, I've tried removing protools and re-installing it again.....

I don't understand. I didn't do anything!!!

Any ideas?

Another thing to test is to remove the plugins from the plugin folder, and re-install them after running sucessfully (perhaps one at a time, to find the troublemaker - or maybe there's a corrupted file, and they'll all work fine once reinstalled).

Be sure to back up stuff before experimenting, and uninstall any plugin 'counts' for any plugin whose protection requires that.

Hello, to use protools 6.4.1cs4 on pc, you must use windows sp1. To use sp2 you must install a protools 6.9TDM and desinstall it and reinstall 6.4.1cs4. Your protools should start. On sp1 no problem.

Actually it's been running fine with SP2 for a year since I rebuilt the PC and before that.

I think I may have corrupt registry or something. I uninstalled Waves plugins and can't reinstall them becuase the installer hangs when it gets to the Registering plugins stage....

I'm going to try repairing windows.....

It is true that protools works fine on sp2 but i have a lot of trouble with news plugins. Often i have a blue screen of death with sp2, so the only way i find to have a stable version is to install a recent
tdm version even if not written for mix+. I have a hd, so i install a 6.9 certainly install some recent programms in sp2 and my plugins works fine now. Never blue screen of death after that. Strange way but it is ok for me.

So I've tried going back to the last windows restore point.

Re-installed Protools.

Still the same problem

So one by one I uninstalled every plug-in that caused Protools to hang:

Waves Gold + Reaniassance TDM
Sony EQ, Inflator & TransMod
Mach5
Bomb Factory BF-3A
MCDSP Chrome Tone & Compressor Bank
Synchronic
DINR
Smack LE
Virus Indigo
URS A10 & N12
AutoTune

And then it worked. I still have the follwing plugins installed and these load Ok

Amplitube
Bomb Factory - LA-2A, Pultec Bundle, Fairchild Bundle & the free ones
Brass
Dynamics III
EQ III
Reverb One
Izotope Ozone & Trash
focusrite d2/d3
Line6 AmpFarm and EchoFarm

I've tried re-installing a selection of plugins but each of those I've removed causes Protools to hang if i re-install.

All I can think is that all of these plugins are trying to access something that is missing like a dll or something....

These were all working two weeks ago the last time I used protools.

I really don't want to rebuild the PC, I just want to play music....
