How to send Mac audio in PT before output EQ?

Hi, I have a ProQ inserted on my Mac output in SoundSource to equalize my speakers. I would like to send the sound from Spotify (for example) into Protools before it goes through the output equalizer. Is this possible? Whether through UAD virtual lines, PT Aux I/O or a third party application, I can't get around the ProQ. Any leads?

In SoundSource you can designate any application to play out any virtual or hardware device.

Therefore, in SoundSource assign the output of Spotify to be any the PTAB devices that are shown in the Audio/Midi Mac Settings. Typically this would be Pro Tools Audio Bridge 2A. Then assign that same device as an Aux IO input into Pro Tools in the IO Setup. In the session then create and Aux track or audio track and assign PTAB 2A as the input. Now you can monitor through Pro Tools.

it works well, but what I would like is to route the sound from Spotify without EQ in PT (to be able to record it) and at the same time to my equalized outputs so as not to have to constantly switch the outputs in SoundSource...

I explained to you how to do that in my previous post. Did you try it?

What are you using as your pro tools playback engine?

One of many reasons I use a SECONDARY interface (UA VOLT) for ALL my non-Pro Tools audio. It shows up on a console input, so I can assign it anywhere I want.

Yes, I did try it. Its working well, but I have Spotify now only through PT. I want Spotify goes in PT and in the same time in my main output when I don't use PT. Two permanent routing.
Fot PT, I use an UAD Apollo.

you should post some pictures of your SoundSource settings. I have not idea what you're referring to as your main output. Do you have all Mac system sounds going through the Apollo?

You can try creating a new multi output device in Mac Audio/Midi setup (see pic). By doing this you then select the Pro Tools Audio Bridge and your UAD.

in SoundSource you would choose this multi output device as your output for Spotify.
