I'm looking at potentially getting an S6 for music mixing. The faders are the main draw for me. My plan is a 32 fader but with only one Knob module and a Process module to go with it. Do I need Process modules for the other fader banks? I know they have a pan pot in theory which would be handy but I'm trying to understand do I need them for all fader banks to work with the single knob module? Help much appreciated

Yes you can just have some fader modules. You would probably set the knob module to be an attention knob module, so it gets whatever track from the surface you attention or plugin you click on, to populate it automatically. Look this up in the manual.
