Default Digi: CoreAudio Driver loud pop

HI Digi,

I have installed the CoreAudio Driver 1.1 and everytime I open any audio software, I get a very loud pop. This happens when the sound settings in the System Preferences, Sound Control Panel, for both output and input are set to the built-in controller or if they are setup for the Digidesign HW (HD). That is, if the sound setup is set to Digidesign HW(HD) as input/output in the Sound Control panel, I get the pop. And, if I run software and in its software preferences I choose the DigiHW as input/output, even though the system sound prefs are still set as built-in, I also get the pop.

I have reliably reproduced this pop with Spark, Spark LEPlus, Peak 3.21, Max/MSP, iTunes, Quicktime, even iDVD and iMovie. Opening ProTools with the driver off, that is set to built-in in the Audio setup in systems preferences, I also get the pop. Actually, any software that uses sound output will produce a loud clickpop. It checks my HD192 interface, turns lights off, lights on, and produces a loud click/pop.

Some info: System OS 10.2.5, G4 450 Double Processor, 1Gb RAM, HD2 system with HD192s. Recently did a clean fresh install of the system on a new hard drive. Speakers are connected directly to outputs of the HD192.

Anyone else having this problem with the 1.1 CoreAudio drivers? Any ideas Digi? Is this a known problem or is this an isolated incident and I have to start worrying about my setup?

Thanks

Mauro.
