Default PT 11, HD Native and blue interfaces

Here's what I have now:
Pro Tools 10 HD ilok license
96 IO
24 bit Adat Bridge
HD|2 core and farm cards in a 2 slot magma chassis
2008 Mac Pro

Here's what I might buy:
HD Native Card on ebay - about $1500
12' Digilink mini cable - $60
Digilink mini to Digilink larger adapter - $50
Upgrade to PT 11 - $599

Here's what I'm thinking:
When I want to use PT 10.x I use what I have
When I want to use PT 11, I simply unplug the cable on the 96I0 end to my magma card and plug in the cable to my HD Native card

Anyone think this might work?
Anyone think using old interfaces with the HD Native card will still work with PT 11? Anyone able to confirm this?
I'm thinking the Magma and the HD Native card could co-exist in my Mac Pro - not to be used at the same time but just to be there

Thoughts?

I am running a Native card with one black box and one blue box. All good.

Not sure about the ADAT bridge though.

Blue 192 i/o interfaces ARE working with Pro Tools 11 HD

From VintageKing
Pro Tools 11 Has Arrived / Vintage King Blog - Vintage King Audio

Pro Tools 11 vs. Pro Tools HD 11
The HD version of the software - Pro Tools HD 11 supports HDX
and HD Native PCIe and thunderbolt systems. Support for HD
Accel and earlier cards is now discontinued. Also contrary to many
rumors the old blue 192 I/O continues to work with Pro Tools HD
11 with an HDX or Native core. This is great news for anyone who
wants to upgrade but can't afford to replace all their I/O at once.
Pro Tools HD 11's exclusive features are the new advanced
metering, integration of video satellite LE, and of course the ability
to use the low latency FGPA-powered mix engine in a Native or
HDX system and the DSP offered by HDX.

Hi Guys,
I have a HD native thunderbolt, a 96i/o and protools 11. Not HD

I can not get this configuration to work. It seamed to works fine with protools 10. Safari and wavelab also worked in version 10.
I can initially open up a 11 session but when i set the HD native in the play back engine I get a message saying, Protools will now quit. Relaunch it to used the new play back engine.
When i open up protools again i keep getting the same message, Protools will now quit. Relaunch it to used the new play back engine. And protools 11 will not open.

Can any one help?

In order to use any HD hardware, you have to have an HD license.

Which black box? I had the impression that those were in the not working category...

I myself am currently quite happy with MBP(retina)+HDN|TB+Rosetta800(XHD).

Does the latency compensation still work correctly with the blue interfaces and pt11hd?

Delay comp is handled by the native or HDX card, not the io

Yes, but is the delay (latency) of the blue interface the same at the new interfaces and if no, does the HDX still apply the correct delay?
