Eleven Lite plugin clean only.
Hello everyone. I'm new to the community and please forgive me if this has been asked before.
I have Protools first and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 gen3. I use headphones, no studio monitors. I plug my guitar directly into the Scarlett and create new track in Protools. I try to use Eleven Lite guitar plugin but just get clean tones. No distortion or crunch. I cant hear what the amp sim sounds like? Please help. King regards |

Re: Eleven Lite plugin clean only.
Hi,
are you opening the plugin on an insert?

And along with that is it on an aux track? If on an audio track you have to record enable things to hear the audio.

Re: Eleven Lite plugin clean only.
And one more....do you hear any change when you adjust any knobs? If not, maybe the plugin is in BYPASS mode, or your routing as incorrect

Eleven Lite Help!
Brand new user of Pro Tools Intro
Followed the intro video to the letter. Using Scarlett 2i2 with Guitar plugged in. Set up track for guitar exactly as instructed. Can record guitar with DI sound - all fine. Add Eleven Lite and guitar track plays back with plugin - all fine. BUT, cannot get plugin to affect 'live' guitar. Tried everthing I can think of. Note, I followed the instructions on Avids Owen video without any alteration. When the plugin is put in the insert box it appears with all controls. I thought the 'I' button would do it but it makes no difference Monitoring on head phones through their Scarlett. I'm sure its something really simple, but Im stumped |

Re: Eleven Lite Help!
Hi welcome to DUC.
You are likely using hardware monitoring in the 2i2 and not software monitoring through Pro Tools. Uncheck Options>"Low Latency Monitoring" in Pro Tools (which disables software monitoring of record/input monitoring enabled enabled tracks) and disable "Direct Monitor" (aka hardware monitoring) on the 2i2. You can read up what they do in more detail in the Pro Tools Reference Guide and the 2i2 documentation. If that is not it... what *exact* instructions are you following? Give a link. In future please follow the DUC guidelines and only post once per problem. Otherwise you can end up wasting other users time with folks responding to multiple threads.
