Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option

But since these mini PC's are quite basic machines with only 2-4 MB of RAM, are any specific models that are guaranty to work with DVS and PA? Also Flux Pure Analyzer says: Minimum requirements CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.6 GHz (Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i5 or newer) GPU: OpenGL 2.0 or superior compatible, with pixel-shader support Are you running Pure Analyzer as stand alone? Thanks!

Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option
Interesting thread guys!
Having a Mac mini already there as a Video Slave player, and Dante DVS in there too, I thought it's good praktice using the Mac mini as a metering option as well! Just downloaded a trial version of Pure Analyzer. Looks good. However, it does see the Dante Virtual Soundcard, but it's impossible to select. It switches back immediately after selection. Nugen Vislm also works standalone. This could be working with a DVS input as well. No spectrum analyser though.. |

Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option
Why do I need another Dante interface for metering when I already have one (MTRX Studio)? Not sure I follow your idea ;-)

Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option
I'm interested in looking at this myself for Atmos metering.
Dante from MTRX Studio to DVS and then Ethernet to a second machine and DVS to the meter app. Would the latency of going through 2 instances of DVS be noticeable? I'm guessing it probably wouldn't for metering? The Flux meter does look very cool, but pretty expensive once you get all the options for multichannel and loudness.

Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option
Hi Cheesehead,
Flux are currently running a deal where all the add ons are free if you buy an essential license! Not sure how long the offer is on for. Best, Ayush

Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option
It's not the answer you are looking for but I am really happy with my DK PT0760 meters doing the 7.1 leg work. The room is calibrated, I know it very well and I am a "use your ears mostly anyhow". Nugen's VisLM 2 is on the master at all times, as the TC integration is invaluable.
Having typed that, I will soon be working a few days a week in a room with the RTW Dante one, but it is not me paying for that. |

Re: 7.1.4 hardware metering option
After reading this thread, I’ve been trialling Pure Analyser running on a second machine (Mac mini 2014 which I just use as a server normally).
Very impressed so far with the displays and options and absolutely no glitches on the main Pro Tools or the mac mini doing the metering. Runs fine over the network with 5.1 metering and the Avid control app. Impressed so far, I’ll see if it stumbles while copying big multiple files over the network next. Rob Walker
