Hi!
Since 2024.6, (or maybe waves v15) i can add favorite or default waves plugins but they disappear every time i reset pro tools. Anyone? |

What the heck is a "reset" in Pro Tools? What *exactly* are you doing?

I'm talking about the plugins i select on a track insert by clicking "control" (i'm on windows, here) on the big plugin list. Then i'll have them more readily available on top of the list.
Also, in Preferences/Mixing there's also a default EQ and default Dynamics, which then appear before the plugin list. i'm having problems with waves plugins disappearing from the list after i close and reopen pro tools (that's what i meant when i said "reset") |

Those settings are all stored in the Pro Tools prefs file. It sounds like that prefs file is not being saved (it's save automatically you should not need to do anything), or maybe your Windows account/file locations/permissions are messed up.
You should also try trashing prefs, in fact you should just try trashing prefs as the first think when troubleshooting a problem. See troubleshooting instructions under "Help us Help You" up the top of each DUC web page. I no longer use Waves plugins. Does it happen with any others? You can also check that in a setup with no Waves plugins installed by removing the Waves Shell plugin (That's the way Pro Tools interacts with all the Waves plugins) in the Pro Tools plugin folder and see if this all then works with other plugins OK. Is this you? https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=428944 |

Trashed PT preferences, unfortunately didn't work.
I tested and any other preference non waves related is still being saved upon exiting PT |

I'm having the same problem.
By the way, PROTOOLS 2024.3.1 saves settings correctly even with WAVES v15. Other companies' plugins save settings correctly with PROTOOLS 2024.6, but WAVES v15 plugins are reset to "none".

Anyone had a different result trying to use WAVES as default EQ/Comp?
What OS? What version of WAVES?

It’s interesting that on a different rig other than my own with Sonoma and PT 2024.3 (not sure what Waves version), I’m seeing Q10 show successfully as a default EQ insert and set to not already be inserted on new tracks. So it seems like a 2024.6 bug for sure.
