When I click on a midi note to try and edit, it vanishes or turns white (the same colour as the background) making it almost impossible to work as I can't see what I'm doing. However when I click on a "note free" area on the track, the note reappears, so it only disappears temporarily.
Has anyone had this problem? Anyone have any solutions? Thanks! ![]() |

What numeric version of Pro Tools are you on? This was fixed in an update, but I don't remember which one.
Making sure you are using the most recent version of Pro Tools would probably be the best advice anyone can give.

I am using 7.3 When using the pencil tool the MIDI notes will sometimes be there and then disappear. In piano scroll the notes are always visible, although they do get 'greyed - out' sometimes.
Does anyone know if this is a bug, or if there is a fix? |

When using the pencil tool the notes would disappear after some operation time....undetermined.
I went to the preferences>MIDI page and under Default Region Color Coding enabled the button for Tracks and MIDI channels. The notes reappeared - in 'glorious' color. |

As filosofem stated, the "fix" for this problem was implemented in 7.4. While there are several workarounds, if you want to permanently eradicate it, you will need to upgrade to 7.4.
