Re: busy logo
We'll need some more information. Let's start with which interface and version of Protools you are using. Next is what type of secondary hard drive are you recording to. Next what plugins are installed on your system. There are many helpful suggestions in the General Troubleshooting thread at the top of this forum that may help.

Quote:
1. Is the macbook one that has no firewire port? 2. Is the 500GB Western Digital drive a USB drive? If the answer to either question is a "yes," you are going to have problems. Protools requires the use of a fast second hard drive for the sessions files (must be physicallly separate from the OS drive). In the case of notebooks that only have one hard drive, this usually means an external drive. Either eSATA or Firewire drives that run at 7200 RPM and have the Oxford chips are perfect for this. USB drives however have difficulty sustaining the throughput needed and are NOT recommended and NOT supported. Unfortunately if your Macbook does not have a firewire port, there is no known way to add one. In that case, that Macbook does not meet the minimul system requirements for Protools. Look for a Macbook Pro model that has a firewire port. Sorry.

Re: busy logo
Hi,
I think you will find that PT does not work on MAC OS 10.6.3 You need to install MAC OS 10.6.2 and the very latest PT 8 Lachlan |
