can't find the validation code

Please help urgently.....

I have recently un-installed PT LE 8 from my macbook pro. when I re-installed it using the original installation CD, it requested an authorisation code which is supposed to be on the setup guide. Unfortunately I don't have the setup guide anymore, what can I do to?

Its amazing how many people lose the codes! Doesn't anyone but me copy them to 3 places? Anyway, if you registered the software(which you should have done) you can log into your MyAvid(formerly MyDigi) account, click on My Products and find a list of your registered software with the codes.

thanks mate! but apparently I don't have a myavid account, only an avid account. and there they say that:

"Only products you have purchased from an Avid webstore, or have activated using this site, will appear in this list. Products registered using other sites or methods are not available here."

there is an option for 'lost LE auth code' but it only refers to PT 7.3 and down..... and I bought PT 8!

I do have the registration email, but no validation code there.....

If the products are registered with Avid/Digidesign, there should be a way to get the info possibly? THat's my thinking, but I save everything as PDF's now and archive them in my documents Folder with the Purchase receipts. Can't afford to be down:)
