Boy, it's fun to watch how rumors fly fast and furious around this business.

Here's the scoop. Digidesign is NOT having a press conference this Thursday, nor making any new product announcements. Digi IS having an invited guest open house on Thursday to show off it's new digs here in Daly City. Some industry press folks have been invited, along with a bunch of others.

There will be no press release or official product announcement on Thursday.

We do not comment on any future products that may or may not be in development.

Wasn't there an episode of La Femme Nikita where Nikita and Michael attend a reception for some Red Cell dignitaries, and then Nikita distracts the enemy while Michael sneaks off and photographs all the secret stuff? I'm sure Digidesign's security isn't even remotely as sophisticated as Red Cell's or Section's. Hopefully, some industry press person will remember to bring along an attractive assistant to distract Bruce and the gang with witty banter at the punchbowl, providing an opportunity to snap a few pictures.
