onboard sound, good idea/bad idea?!
hi, i'm setting up a system to run ptf as well as design software, autocad, 3d studio max, photoshop, etc,etc,etc
specs: gigabyte m/board P4-2.4 CPU 512 mb DDr kingston RAM 64 mb GF4 video card CD RW DVD subwoofer speakers and probably onboard sound my question is really just this...is onboard sound a good idea or is it better to specify some type of soundcard? sorry i don't know a whole lot about different soundcard for PC's as i have been running PTF on mac until now any suggestions as soon as possible about diffent soundcards/onboard sound would be greatly appreciated... thankyou

I suggest you first give it a go with the inbuilt audio. If it doesnt work in the way you want, get soething else.
