Hello everyone,
I jst upgraded my system yesterday and I was really surprised to see that I couldn't set the buffer size to 2048. I have very heavy mixes and I think I won't be able to bounce them only in 1024 buffer size. I could set the buffer to 2048 in PTLE 5.3.1 why not in 6.4 ???? Is it normal ? Thanks for your replies ! |

yeah its normal
not too happy about it either, if its any conselation, you can have a 2048 buffer in 96k mode. hopefully this is fixed in 6.7, but Im not holding my breath. |

Even if 2048 was supported on 48k sessions, it probably wouldn't have a big impact on number of plugins you can run. Going from 1024 to 2048 doesn't double the amount of CPU time available for processing.

I thought there was a big difference between 1024 and 2048. I'm a bit reassured !
I think of upgrading my system and I'd like to change my proc. Are new athlon 64 compatible ? Will a see a big difference between my current Athlon XP 2400+ and a Athlon 64 3200+ ? I anyone knows... Thanks for your replies ! |
