A quick question... Can I only use DSP sends when tracking with hybrid mode engaged? A little extra pre-dalay wouldn't be a problem on reverbs, but all of that gets muted when I put tracks in record. Is that just the way it is? Any way around it?

You can put those Aux returns in DSP Safe Mode - Page 30 of the Carbon User Guide.
