Default A few questions about Sampletank 2 and the current version

I read a while ago that sampletank 2 was going to allow you to create you're own banks and patches.

I've got a couple of questions for Jason :

If I bought the SampleTank LE + SYMPHONY STRINGS bundle, would it work as an RTAS plug-in like Sampletank free does ?

It's very cheap for the sound quality and size of the banks, I was blown away by the mp3 demo.

When sampletank 2 comes out will the upgrade be available for RTAS and will it cost much ?

how many filter types are there in Sampletank ?

Just for future reference, if I'm able to create my own patches with version 2, It would give me some idea of the kind of sample + synthesis it offers if I knew it how many various types of filter I could use such as lowpass/resonant lowpass, high pass/resonant highpass, band pass and state variable low, high and band pass (for those squelchy techstep/nu school bass sounds)

I know asking about a future product isn't a good idea because you can't tell me (probably) but knowing the synthesis potential of the current sampletank would help me decide of whether I start saving for the XL version and hope I have enough for when version 2 comes out or just go for the strings one and wait a while.

Hi,

I suggest you download the free version to experiment with. You will be limited, and you can only use the free sounds. I downloaded it on my pc, and i was pleasently surprised by the simplicity and the quality. It is a cpu-hog though...

oh....latency is in the 3-6 ms range....not that bad...

I already have. That's why I'm so interested in the details of it's synthesis.

It sounds fantastic to me but it would be a hundred times more useful once I can create my own patches with some future version.

Unfortunatly, I can't comment about Sampletank 2.
All of our upgrades and current versions will be RTAS plug ins.
