Strike - Content not found
I've just upgraded to PT8.
I get that message "Content not found, please run the SetContentLocation application" when I load Strike. Tried running the Set Content Location app several times, tried re-installing Strike, but none of them seem to work. Any suggestion before I have to re-install the whole system from scratch? Is this a compatibility issue with 8.0.1? Any information is appreciated, thanks. |

Re: Strike - Content not found
Type exactly this into the forum search field:
strike "content not found" See if any of the resulting threads have an answer to your problem

Re: Strike - Content not found
Hi,
I had this problem about a month ago. Make sure your Mac (I assume you are on Mac?) system disk is NOT formatted as "case sensitive". You can check this on the "Get Info" for your Hard Disk. This style of Mac formatting does NOT work with Strike! Hope this helps. I know how maddening it can be. It took me over a month to figure it out! --Terry |

Re: Strike - Content not found
As Filo said.. also, make sure that the setcontentlocation.exe file is in the same directory as the *.big files of Strike. (on a PC that would be C:/Program Files/Digidesign/Strike/ by default).
If you have installed or moved the *.big files to somewhere else, youwll have to copy the setcontentlocation.exe file to there, and then run it. If that doesn't work.. well, I'm out of ideas.. Good luck though!

I've read all your posts and I know how frustrating it was for you. I just checked my disks, both OS and audio, and they were formatted not as case sensitive. So there must be something else that I'm missing.. |
