Default 002 Durability with touring

I read a thread about this from a few years ago, and one person mentioned that possibly the only thing that might happen is that the power harness might come loose. Does anybody have any first hand experience with touring with a 002 and if the power harness is the only thing to worry about?

I travel a lot and I have my 002 in a gator rolling rack case. I was just wondering if the 002 can handle just normal travel conditions, like bumps on the road and loading and unloading, not dropping it down the stairs or anything.

I highly recommend a shock absorbing rack case. It protects much more. I use multiple digi interfaces on the road, never had a problem with them. (knock on wood)

I'm definitely considering one in the near future, but do you think that for now the 002 will be alright under normal travel conditions?

The power harness issue can hit any 002, even if it never moves. I suspect that it will travel fine in a shock rack. but you may want to be prepared by re-seating the harness every few months as a precaution(5-6 times on each connection). With the rack version, its a 10 minute job with only a small phillips screwdriver needed. Probably less maintenance than a boutique tube amp.

The power harness is only supposed to affect revision A-F 002's. The revision is determined by the last letter of the serial number.

Oh yeah, a few months back my friend took a look at the brakes on my car, i had the 002R in a gator rack case in the passenger footwell. Turns out he didn't put the bonnet/hood down, i went tearing down the road doing 60MPH and my bonnet flew up, i skidded big style and the case took a hefty knock on the dash, the 002 was completely fine.

Wow thanks man! That helps me not to worry too much for the time being, although at some point I'd like to invest in a better case. Thanks guys!
