Early Renewal of support plan triggered Falcon expiration

I renewed my ProTools perpetual annual support plan two months early today. When I did I noticed that the Falcon instrument plugin was immediately put into expired status in iLoc and now ProTools states that it is no longer authorized.

I knew that Falcon was being phased out as one of the supplied plugins but I was not aware that it would expire as soon as I renewed two months early.

Was this expiration supposed to happen as soon as I retired regardless of it being two months early?

I was aware that Falcon would expire when I renewed…normally a day or two before my plan expired. I was not aware that it would expire early if I renewed early. lol

It’s not a huge issue for me since I always export stems for each project I complete just in-case plugins are discontinued in the future and no longer available for use in an old project.

What a joke!

You tie us in with the subscription and now all our previous sessions that use Falcon are unusable!?!

And your solution is open the past 5 years of sessions and 'commit' the tracks.
I've been a customer for 15 years, owned multiple avid hardware options, and use pro tools professionally but this is bad.

I'm out, you've just lost the next 20 years of my custom

It wasn’t Avid that discussed exporting stems of our projects where Falcon was used, it was me. I stated that IN MY CASE this was not a huge issue since I always export stems when every project is complete. This type of plugin loss has happened to me multiple times over the past 25 years so I eventually learned not to assume that any plugin would be available if I had to revisit an old project.

I just wanted to set the record straight that it was me and not Avid that discussed stems.
