Default Bruce\'s vocal treatment

I got Bruce's latest CD as a stocking stuffer this Christmas. Some good stuff on there. Some of it pretty emotional, with the 9/11 references. Even if you don't like his style of music, you still have to admit he's a true artist.

Anyway, I really like the sound of his voice on this CD. Anybody hear it? It seems like there's a particular treatment of his vocals throughout the CD -- really smooth, but with some tin or steel. The S's have a "radio" kind of sound. Is there a high or low pass or something?

Can anybody guess at what the specs are for this kind of vocal sound? (besides borrowing Bruce's voice). How could a I try this with the digirack FX and D-Verb?

Thanks

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">You can't.

Unless by "digirack FX" you mean a C12 mic w/ a Neve preamp and by "D-Verb" you mean a Lexicon 960L.

Just one bump.

Any engineers out there who could add anything useful? Maybe take a guess at the EQ cuts or boosts, or the delay settings? The reverb settings?

Thanks

I always thought "Bruce" and Bob Dylan should tour together...they could call it the "Mumbling through your Nose" tour. I think they're both talented artists, but I can't understand a single word...Maybe they need some Dristan...

Ya, there's a reason the equipment NashvilleBass listed costs so much: it makes that sound which you have to spend that much money to get.
