Avid not shipping PT9 until December..WTF?

I can't say enough good things about the stability of Pro Tools 9. It's rock solid and definitely more stable than any version I've used from version 7 onwards.

I would liked to have downloaded it, but the Studica rep told me they only sell boxed versions. When I checked back at Studica, I can't seem to find any option for an instant download.

I'm not sure if anyone ever answered the question that was asked about the iLok, since the thread has gotten rather long to read, but I can confirm that my boxed copy came with the newer iLok key. I think that this is the only difference between the download and boxed versions and this only applies to the full purchase not upgrades -- excluding the guides (no paper manual!). Various places have them in stock also, I got mine in 3 business days from Sweetwater.
