Protools 7.1cs2 MP3 export wrong length....

When I select a file in the regions menu, I can export an aiff just fine. It can be 48k, 44.1, aiff, stereo, whatever....and it exports perfectly. If I leave it selected, and simply select mp3 export instead of aiff, the file becomes 8 minutes long (I'm trying to export a file that is 60 sec). I know that the file length is 1 minute, because 48k aiff export works. 44.1k aiff stereo interleaved works too, (I was exporting it for a cd burn). But when I export the SAME FILE as an MP3, it's 8minutes long (it has a lot of silence at the end).

Is this a bug, or do I have my head up my backside?

I've tried different bit rates, sample rates, etc. Still not right.....

Had exactly the same thing happen...also 8-minutes.

I believe we have a bug here...Digi?

I have a LE system running version 7 and have the exact same problem. It has to be a bug.
