Default question about waves update plan..

So my Gold bundle (plus a few extra waves plugins) is coming due in a few weeks for $209.45. I'm a bit confused about the "Upgrading your Waves products - from single plugin/s to a bundle, or from a smaller bundle to a larger bundle - gives you 1 free year of the Waves Update Plan for all plugins in your new bundle" part. When I click on "upgrades", the first one I see is "upgrade to Gold +RenMaxx" for $45. Does this mean that if I buy it, I get another year of the full update plan for everything? This doesn't seem to make sense.

Thanks in advance for any help with this!

$209 is too high in my opinion. If the $45 thing is available, then that's fair. I think my WUP is due or soon to be, but for now I'll just continue using my v11 & v12 plugs as is - they work fine.

Upgrades are nearly always a better option over wupping. The price is correct and you'll get more plugins and a year's updates.

Until you've upgraded your way to Mercury with every year's black Friday sale. Then you've got nothing else to upgrade to.

yeah I agree with Stevo here... until you've manage to upgrade your way to Mercury then I agree with JCBigler.

Usually when you do upgrade it does renew your WUP, at $45 though, it sounds almost too good to be true. I think the only way to know if it is true is to contact Sales.

Odd, I'm usually telling people to contact support, I really don't know what to do when they have a "sales" question. This has never happened before.

But that $200+ you only need to pay when NEED to upgrade to a more recent Waves "version". Although, Mac users have copped that a few times over the last few recent years as Apple keeps making big underlying changes which costs them a lot of money to trawl through every plugin so they can update it and test it while maintaining backwards compatibility.
