Default Avid Marketplace Menu...Please Move It!

I mistakenly posted this message in the PT9 forum...apologizes...it belongs here...

The new marketplace menu seems completely of place amidst the production oriented commands surrounding it. It looks like a commercial.

When working, I find it really intrusive and unprofessional and hope if enough of us complain the powers that be might consider putting it somewhere less in the spotlight.

The marketplace should be removed because it's offensive to people who invested their skills, time and money in a seemingly PRO-fessional tool.

Its PRO-tools and not CONSUMER-toys so agressive direct-consumer marketing tactics should not be in there.
Besides the misplaced agressive commercial approach, the marketplace menu is intrusive, and damaging the lay out of the interface.

Easy to mask on Mac...

One of my customers said : "You have a direct link to Amazon Marketplace in pro Tools? Strange !"
So I mask this intrusive menu (a shame on a pro-software)...

It's no different than adding new keyboard shortcuts or using one of the many utility apps out there to modify, fix, enhance PT functions etc. The users will be happy, which is something Avid wouldn't disagree with, so I see no harm posting it. I wrote a utility app that fixed the broken horizontal scrolling it PT 8.0 on Windows. Thousands downloaded and used it until Avid fixed the problem with an update, and there were no complaints from Avid.
