Required Windows Services!
My MC's were working great for a long time. Then I optimized my computer!! Now they don't start up anymore (big AVID logos across the boards). It has to be something simple because they work great. Is there a list of required Windows services that have to be running in order for the controllers to work? And what are they?
Thanks! |

Even BV cautions to be careful and test out what you do. Either way, when mucking about with stopping Windoze services it's best to do things one at a time. And when you do do that, say you click on a service to shut down or whatever, there should be a description of what the service does and what other services it effects and that effect it (at least in XP). You'd be surprised how entwined some services are with each other. You're especially going to need ethernet and associated network services to run. |
