Default Reassurance for those who want to port over to HDX / AAX

The only question that is holding us back is…
Are the "third" party developers on board with the AAX platform?
…and do they have a timeframe as to when these upgrades will be available if at all?

some are shipping
some have said they are going to ship
some have not made a clear statement of support (namely the one from that little country on the East end of the Mediterranean)

some are not charging
some are charging a small fee
some are sticking it to us
some haven't said

I would look to NAMM in a few weeks for statements of support and delivery

I havnt done anything but press play on my new HDX and let me tell you.
It absolutely smokes a HD2 rig. Before it seamed I was hitting the wall with everything I did, including the song I just referenced (HDX/HD2) .
In HD2 I was maxed in all areas but track count ,in HDX I havnt even started,
Mind you I have all stock plugs except Reverb One and T L Space.
Where my HD2 tails off HDX is sitting down with a cold beer and saying ,is that all you got. If you are recording professionally or even just serious about your own projects HDX is a must unless you are running HD5/6 or maybe more.
For this tremendous increase in HORSE POWER (dsp) I will gladly wait for all the plugins to become available. Native plugs almost don't register until you use a hole bunch. I haven't tried yet but I bet using NATIVE plugs is more DSP than a HD2 alone and you havnt even touched DSP yet. (Mac Pro 8 core)
SERIOUSLY just go buy it if you can

Most 3rd party developers already have or are about to release AAX compatible versions of their plugins.

As for timeframes for those who have not made an announcement about AAX this would be a question to bring to them directly.

I really hope we hear something positive from Waves on this. Most of those I speak with are waiting for a definite word from them.

Currently only the sound of crickets from Waves on AAX DSP versions.
I suspect Mercury TDM users may in for a shock

My thought is that since the current version of their plugins is compatible with pt 10, they might just be working on releasing them for pt 11 in the aax format.

The Question is not so much about Waves and AAX/Native but rather Waves and AAX/DSP.
