Cool Converting Previously Recorded Wav file into Midi

I recently recorded a band. We are in the mixing process right now and they are not liking the way the drums turned out. So instead of going back and re miking and re-recording the drums, I was wondering if there was a way to convert the previous Wav recording file (such as a kick) and convert that into Midi so then I can patch in and insert a plug in such as Reason, BFD2, or Battery 3 to replace the drum sound?? Is this even possible? If so, how do I go about doing it? Thanks!

Check this out:

Or you could use Sound Replacer from the MPTK.

A couple of my favorite Drumagog videos:
Playing pots and pans with utensils

Invisible drums

They are also the makers of Voice Band for the iPhone, The app that makes us all obsolete: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QxN1u7KWDM
