002 on a Dell 8200 Laptop

I know the MBox won't work well with the Dell Inspiron, but what about the 002? If so is anyone running this setup. Just curious. Thanks.

Do not even think about it. I'm not sure, if it will work, but follow the rules. NEVER USE DELL FOR MUSIC OR VIDEO.
I have a Dell inspiron 4100 for privat use. Nice Laptop, but useless for media productions. fine for surfing on the net and writing.

Thanks Jonhedin for the input. I have been using the 001 with a Dell desktop and have had great results (as well as with video production). I know there are more dedicated computers out there, but Dell has done me fine.

I'm asking to see if anyone knows if the 002 will work with the 8200 laptop since I already own the computer. Thanks guys. I appreciate all input.

does anyone know why Dell laptops isn't good for PT? I'm planning to get a Dell Laptop and also an mbox later on... i'm just curious why it'd only be Dell laptops.

I've heard other people on this forum using the mbox with a dell laptop

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I second the question. I bought a Dell 4150 for other purposes, and was hoping to get an "MBox for Windows XP." Now I'm holding off on my purchase until (or if) Digi approves the Insprions for use with the MBox. Would be nice to know if they just didn't have time to fix all the bugs relating to the Inspiron, or if there's a fundamental issue with these machines that will never be fixed...
