Connecting a PCI-X HD core to PCIe Accel Core card
https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=317154
The thread above says that 2 core cards can be connected first and then chained to multiple Accel cards. (I understand up to 5 Accel cards) http://akarchive.digidesign.com/supp...tems_Guide.pdf I ended up with both a PCI-X HD Core and PCIe Accel Core card in building a PT HD10 TDM system. We are using a TDM system for budgetary reasons. So please don't debate about its use vs HDX, native, etc. Question: Could we use this chain in our PT HD10 system with a Dell Precision T7500 (listed on Avid as a qualified system) with Win7 Pro: HD Core PCI-X to ACCEL Core PCIe to Accel PCIe to Accel PCIe to PCIe Thanks |

Re: Connecting a PCI-X HD core to PCIe Accel Core card
At least mixing PCIX and PCI-express has never been supported. You may try, but also may need to end up using either pCIX or PRI-express.
