Default Problem with audio file save location

I needed to move my protools projects to a hard drive, but now when I record audio, ProTools generates a new directory/file on the old harddrive.

For example,
I moved a project from "d:\projects\foo" to "e:\projects\foo", but when I record a track, Protools generates "d:\foo\audio files" instead of "e:\projects\foo\audio files"

Note that this only happens on track that were created prior to the projects being moved. If I create a new track, ProTools saves audio files in the correct place.

Is there some obvious default audio creation parameter with which I'm not familiar?

As reference, I'm running ProTools 6.4 on WinXP sp2.

Thanks
Rob

Never copy sessions using Windows Explorer -- use the File menu option Save Session Copy In... -- this will ensure that disk allocation is set to the new location and that all files make it over to the new location.

You can change your Disk Allocation in the Setups menu for your session.

Rob: PT is thinking that the files are still located on the old directory. If I recall off hand there is a setting in the software which is telling it where to look for the default audio directory that you will need to mod to point it to the new drive. Another trick you could try would be is to try opening the file from the E: and making a change to it and then hitting save which should save to the correct directory as long as you double click on the original file and not your PT icon. Don't have a rig in front of me at the moment, or I would double check the default directory.

Shawn: need your knowledge on this one man!! (shawn is like a walking PT ref. manual... hehe)
