Mac sees HD Native Thunderbold but no audio device shows up
My Macbook Pro M1 Max 16" sees the HD Native Thunderbolt device, it shows up in Systems overview as connected. But there is no audio device called HD Native selectable as audio device on my Mac or in Pro Tools.
MPB M1 Max, 64 GB memory, 4TB HDD MacOS 12.5.1 Pro Tools 2022.12 HD Driver 2022.12 HD Native Thunderbolt connected with original Avid TB2 cable, with TB2-->TB3 adapter by Apple. I have my mac set-up with low security, and followed all Avid's recommended security steps for installing the HD driver. It just does not show up. I have swapped Thunderbolt cables, TB2 to TB3 adapters. No result. Does anyone have an idea what I could check? |

Greetings,
Check to see under About this Mac > System Report > Software > Extensions > DigiDal > to see if the driver is active and loaded. Jeff |

Hi Jeff, thanks for responding. Yes, it's active and loaded. Version 22.12.0.0

yes! Could it be it interferes with the Mbox Control driver? I use the Mbox Studio in my home studio set-up, and a HD Native set-up in my commercial studio.

Negative. I have almost exactly the same MBP you do, and I just now connected MBOX Studio running MBOX Control v 1.0.1 with current studio firmware. All devices are detected by AMS and Pro Tools Ultimate 22.12 currently.
** the only difference here is I am running macOS 12.6.2 ** What are you using for your DigiLink IO attached to HDNTB? Jeff |

Also - I presume you can't see anything in AMS well, yes? Here's what mine looks like (obviously with PT not grabbing onto the HDNTB engine)::

No, nothing in AMS. I use two Lynx Aurora 16 LTHD. When I hook them up to the HD Native PCIe card in my Mac Pro 5.1, it all works like a charm. But now I want to use my MBP with the HDNTB and the Lynx Aurora's. |

Re: Mac sees HD Native Thunderbold but no audio device shows up
Could it be connected to firmware? In the Apple System Report it looks like it has firmware version 7.3.
But I get no pop-up for a firmware upgrade. What is the latest firmware version for the HD Native Thunderbolt? |
